I don’t think we’ve ever promoted a show on liveforliving.com before, but this is a particularly important show and I thought I would get the word out. Growing up in Orange County, Chain Reaction was and is my local venue. I can’t even begin to tell you how many shows I’ve attended there over the years. Recently Chain’s sound man, Christian Dasilva, was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident leaving behind a pregnant wife and two children. On August 17th, there’s going to be a memorial show at Chain where all of the money earned will be given to Dasilva’s family. If you’re familiar with the Orange County hardcore scene, then you know that this show is crazy, insanely stacked with good music. I’ve written about The Greenery before, the guys in SirenSiren put on a show that’s been likened to The Chariot, and four bands (Arms Like Yours, Southern Lights, Theres No Heroes, and End The Century) are reuniting for this night only. If you’re in the Orange County/Los Angeles area, I promise you, this will be a show you do not want to miss.
